I love possession movies merely this one actually did it for me. Information technology was based of truthful events I guess but the moving-picture show moves at a very adept pace. There is a little humor thrown in to lighten things upwards but the movie itself was one that fabricated my blood run cold a few times. Yea, that skillful. Totally deserves the five stars. If you like GOOD horror movies and you like GOOD acting and not over washed special effects considering the writing is and so good y'all don't demand allot of that (trust me the makeup and what there were of special effects were top notch) then y'all'll desire to run into this i!

I take been wanting to run into this motion-picture show since it came out and I finally rented it. I love a proficient paranormal scary moving-picture show and this one was fantastic! The interim is dandy and the story is interesting with a little humor, thrill and the right amount of SCARE!!! The only affair I didn't like virtually the principal character was that he didn't similar cats. He doesn't exercise anything hateful he just doesn't like them and honestly I'm sick of cats getting a bad rap in movies and in life. That'south my simply rant.

I am a horror movie fanatic. My favorites are movies based on truthful stories. Very little scares me. I've watched basically every horror movie that exists. This one nevertheless terrified me, by and large the exorcism office. All of the actors were then talented and that Jesuit Priest a hunk! The make up and carvings on Santino's body were scary equally were his eyes. The special effects were acme notch and of course, I beloved Jim Morrison and " The doors. I would highly recommend this movie and it is now on my top 10 listing of horror movies.

While most occult movies do not include the police, this 1 does. three soldiers return from duty in Iraq and they're but....dissimilar somehow. Commonly 1 would naturally think they suffer from PTSD but in their case information technology's something more. A tough New York cop (played by Eric Bana) is out to solve the case. On this particular mystery he requires the help of a priest (say what?). His partner is the comic relief of the movie ~ he reminds me of the guy who is "your cousin from Boston" on the Sam Adams commercials.
While it is based on a true story (supposedly) information technology doesn't motility the meter with me in thinking that exorcism is a agglomeration of nonsense. For true believers, they will have their beliefs confirmed or strengthened by watching this DVD. That is fine. Just not my loving cup of tea.
Eric Bana delivers a fine operation & overall it's a well done film. If you lot're looking for a picture that is a cantankerous between THE EXORCIST and TJ HOOKER so this ane might but be for yous!

This movie is really crawly. It has some thriller and some horror elements, and it's a fun ride. You'll enjoy it from get-go to finish. Information technology is based on a book past a existent NYPD Sergent turned demonologist, but if you've read the book don't wait it to exist the same. The thing is, the book is virtually a career of demonic encounters, which the moving picture condenses into basically one series of events. Withal, it's about every bit skilful as I could have expected Hollywood to do, so enjoy it for what information technology is and you'll beloved it. If you desire to learn more, the book is chosen "Beware the Nighttime" by Ralph Sarchie.

I actually enjoyed this when beginning seeing it remember having no expectations and it was my friend'southward birthday and it was the midnight show. Well the movie certainly hasn't aged well or peradventure it was never that great to begin with. Following the supposedly true story of a New York Cop/Priest detective squad who find themselves investigating a supernatural possession instance involving veterans that encountered a dark presence while on bout in the eye east. The movie has some decent shocks merely its fairly by the numbers. The performances are a mixed bag but both Eric Bana and Edgar Ramirez as the squad are both sexy and likable. The movies pacing feels a little all over the place merely the final, gory exorcism is successful if a little expected. All in all information technology's a little bit of a missed opportunity just still fairly entertaining.

I really enjoyed this movie. You'll notice this scary if you liked The Conjuring, Insidious, or Sinister. Information technology is a bit more violent/gory than those just non too crazy. It gives itself some fourth dimension to build upwardly some creepy atmosphere. The performances are all solid. Eric Bana's character is relatable and interesting to picket...and he's pretty easy on the eyes. Joel McHale is great and brings some humor...nothing campy, just dark sense of humor conceivable in the situation.
I know at that place's controversy over what'south "real" in this moving picture. Information technology is inspired by a real retired NYPD officer and the book he wrote Beware The Night. I don't think it matters what's in the book vs. the film...each has to exist taken on its ain terms.
